Those 3 "friends" of Eugenia were so disgusting. First of all, I am convinced they did NOT have pure intentions. Not with how they handled themselves after Eugenia's "comeback" as someone who acknowledges they have problem and are working on it. She mentioned in the Shane Dawnson doc that some friends were not supportive and were not helpful. She did not namedrop anyone. But those three musketeers decided to band together once more and make a whole ass video exposing way more of Eugenia's private life and state of mental health than they were entitled to expose, painting themselves as heroes and pretty openly resenting Eugenia for "bad mouthing" them although she never named them- they were pissed that she didn't dedicate part of the video to praising them and crediting them with her recovery. Again! She did not name drop! She just mentioned that there were toxic people and three assholes decided that the shoe fit, that she must have been talking about them. And so they decided to call her out, beg for attention and ask for hero worship, claiming what good friends they were, how Eugenia basically betrayed them by not being thankful, all the while exposing things about her private life and mental health that only she should be talking about if that is what she chooses.

People often need to elaborate a lot when they talk about a subject other people would quickly brand. If she merely dissed him (even though it was mild) people would go "you butthurt!". It is a common thing. For that reason, people tend to take time and elaborately explain something doesn't bother them- and yes, sometimes it comes across as overfocusing on it, like covering up, but that's life, and that's internet. Bruh taking accountability doesn't mean shit when you already fucked up this bad. This isn't a saucy photo that ended up being on the more vulgar side, or accidental slut shaming or a snapchat freakout. This is being reckless during a pandemic that kills people and ruins life. Fuck his apology and fuck fake accountability. People have started equaling accountability with "yes I fucked up sorry" and that's not a good thing. Accountability is more than just admitting you were wrong. Accountability is also accepting consequences for your actions. For many public figures, that would be stepping down from their platforms (because the people, of course, will scream cancel bloody murder but never actually do it). But they will never do it because real accountability isn't comfortable and they can't handle that.

Idk the first thing about Tom, but my opinion on him comes from what I’ve been shown about him. His content never interested me, so I already wasn’t a fan (not in the “not a fan” way, I genuinely just wasn’t a fan/interested in him at all). The way he throws around how he “gets no help” or “isn’t controversial” honestly love; not everyone is here to be at your command and everyone is controversial to someone somehow..... It is absolutely NOT hypocritical. Loads of things in religion are based on reality and observation. These observations can apply to everyone no matter what religion or belief. However, using specific things like karma is not hypocritical otherwise you would have to admit that you too are a hypocrite! See, lot's of things people in Western society do or talk about are based on Christianity (Such as sin, devil, afterlife, unconditional love, monogamy, natural moral law, e.t.c.) although it is losing it's presence, we are still influenced by it.
